This morning, a friend forwarded an article written by the publication called The Guardian, called “The calming effects of sewing can help people express and heal themselves”. As quilters or stitchers, don’t you find that you become more at peace, even relaxed, when you are fondling the fabrics and threads? I certainly do. It may take a little while, but with every stitch, my muscles relax, my thoughts and my heart calm down. It is during periods of time like this I see solutions previously unseen, I create ideas for future projects, even accomplish more in a short time that would have alluded me all day. Short periods of time of creativity like this can rejuvenate us!
This mindset is really important to our overall health. Puppy girl Emma and Puppy girl Gabby are snuggled next to me as I write this and they send each one of you a puppy wiggle and kiss – have a great day!!
