EXCITING NEWS!! Puppy Girls Designs has been included in a Book Tour for new book “Turnabout Patchwork” by Teresa Mairal, published by Martingale. This book is just fabulous!! A few weeks ago, I volunteered (and then was accepted) to make my own version of one of the patterns from the book. I chose “Tutti Frutti”, a variation of a quarter snow ball block, the pattern called for 4-5″ squares from 25 different fabrics and it was suggested that a layer cake would work well for this. I used a black background and yummy hand dyed fabrics from our local Dyeing to Sew.
Though I didn’t make the deadline for Teresa’s video (though the PGD logo banner made it in), she did send me this message,
” I L O V E I T. Yours has become my favourite quilt. And what a treat, hand dyed. It would have been great to include in the video I released yesterday.” Oh my gosh, from a published quilter!
